That One Time I Thought I Was Done
I don’t recall ever being fired from a job. But one time I was worried that I would be. My principal was not approving of my teaching methods, which were moving in a more traditional—and less high-tech—direction. I felt that she might “chop” me. My whole body was filled with a type of dread that I had not experienced before….it was a feeling of inadequacy and failure. It was a checking off of a box that said “no” instead of “yes.” It made me feel somewhat humiliated and hollow inside.
I know it seems extreme, but I care a lot about approval in my jobs. I want to be recognized as having done a good job.
The Quiet Power of Humiliation
In the classroom, I learned early on that humiliation is one of the most powerful—and dangerous—tools available to any authority figure. It can silence a student instantly. It can control behavior. It can even create the illusion of order. But it does so at a cost: dignity, curiosity, and trust.
What we are seeing now, on a much larger stage, feels uncomfortably familiar.
Same Lesson, Bigger Room

The East Wing of the White House—also placed on the chopping block.
It appears that, in this particular “White House,” there are some people on the chopping block. Coincidentally, they appear to be mostly of one gender.
Now, I will be the first to say that these women who are getting the axe from the elected leader of the country are horrific examples of human beings. At times, they seem less like independent people and more like zombified sycophants—muted extensions of someone else’s will. However, if there is any degree of Homo sapien blood still coursing through their veins, I will bet they feel humiliated.
In fact, that may be the goal: humiliation.
This Is Not New
There is also a long and very public history here—Trump’s personal history—marked by failure, reinvention, and a relentless need to reassert dominance. Academic and social inadequacies, bankruptcies, legal battles, public spectacle—again and again, the pattern repeats. Over time, his abject humiliation seems to have shifted from something he has experienced…to something he now inflicts.
He (it) enjoys humiliating others, but it seems that he especially enjoys humiliating women. My guess is that it’s one of the reasons he became besties with Mr. Epstein. That was the whole Epstein-Klan ethos—the objectification and ruination of young girls and women.
And So Here We Are
And so…it should come as no surprise to any of us that Kristi Noam and her Breast-Donning spousal unit, Ms. Bondi, and perhaps Ms. Gabbard will take the fall for their pathetic leader.
The Only Line That Fits
In a just world, the highest authority of this planet, of this universe, would scream out as loudly as possible, into his ear: YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!!
Only then would we, the entire planet of humans, all be able to sleep at night.
